Behind the Work

Who I Am
I have worked with teenagers, young adults, and families for close to thirty years. From youth leadership roles in Crown Heights and the Youth Action Movement, through my work as Youth Director at Chabad of Port Washington and as a teacher and counselor at the Bais Menachem Youth Development Program, I have consistently found myself drawn to people in transition. Over the years I have guided teens and adults through uncertain times, helping them make sense of what is happening inside, develop language for their experience, and learn how to move forward in grounded and authentic ways.
My background is rooted in education, spiritual counseling, and hands-on work with individuals and families in crisis. I approach people with serious attention and genuine care. I listen closely, help them articulate what they are carrying, and stay with them through the emotional work. I bring experience, intuition, faith, and human connection into the room. My goal is simple. Help people become more self-aware, heal from what has been difficult, and access the strength already within them.
Why I Do This Work
Since I was young, I have searched for meaning and wrestled with the inner struggles that come with being human. That search led me to a life of service. I have walked alongside people dealing with trauma, anxiety, identity shifts, strained relationships, depression, and spiritual disconnection. What continues to drive me is seeing someone begin to recognize their experience, find language for it, and slowly reconnect to themselves.
I have learned that for many teens and adults, what they need most is someone who will take them seriously without judgment, help them slow down emotionally, and support them through difficult turning points. My role is to provide clarity, direction, and presence. Whether that involves processing past experiences, navigating current challenges, or preparing for significant personal transitions, I believe deeply in the resilience within people and their ability to heal with the right kind of connection.
Working with you
Our work together is compassionate and personal. I make space for what you are experiencing and help you understand it from the inside out. Together we move toward clarity, emotional healing, and healthier ways of responding to life. You bring your honesty. I bring care, attentiveness, and many years of experience walking with people through difficult transitions. From there, we continue forward.
